What are Social Skills Groups?

A Social Skills Group is a structured, small group intervention designed to teach interpersonal and communication skills needed to build meaningful peer relationships. Unlike individual therapy, social skills groups create a controlled social environment where participants can practice in real time with their peers and receive immediate feedback.

Who are Social Skills Good For?

•Neurodevelopment Learners: Including Autism Specturm Disorder (ASD) and Attention Deficit Disorder (ADHD), or Nonverbal Learning Disabilities (NVLD)

•Executive Functioning Challenges: Students who struggle with impulse control, cognitive flexibility, or emotional regulation during group dynamics

Hi, I'm Diana!

I'm a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, ADHD-Certified Clinical Service Provider, and former Special Education teacher dedicated to helping kids lead happier, healthier lives.

When we equip kids with the tools they need to develop to positive peer relationships, we cause a ripple effect of pro-social behaviors, resulting in not only more emotionally secure kids but stronger communities as well.

As both an educator and mom of two boys, I am deeply invested in the type of culture we are creating for our kids. I have developed and facilitated social skills groups, in clinics, schools, and as a private business for every grade level and one things is undeniable: social skills are not "nice to have" skills. They are the foundational skills that make all other learning possible.

This firm belief is what led me to create professional development resources for those leading their own groups. Everyone deserves to experience the joy of friendship.
